Trip Planning

For each tour that Nature Trail decides to offer its tour guests, our Tour Director, Steve Ridd, has previously undertaken a comprehensive Tour Design Framework © .

This is a tour activity design methodology which Nature Trail has uniquely conceived from applied education, training and experience involving multiple analyses of each proposed tour offering we consider well before it is assessed as being of suitable quality before we decide it to be offered to our tour guests.

We shall elaborate on each of these twenty tour design tasks on this webpage in due course.

We point out that this tour design framework, is necessarily and critically underpinned by Trip Planning methodology supported by additional research, route scouting, full route reconnoitres, and then at least two practice trips in a group scenario (4-6 pax) comprising Nature Trail’s Alumni for feedback – constructive or otherwise.

In our opinion and from subsequent tour leading experience, our tour methodology since  academically designed and refined over  almost a decade, frankly morphs the lay Outdoor Recreation course we did by NSW TAFE (Wentworth Falls) that we completed previously during our qualifications training.

From the outset, Nature Trail’s Tour Director set out to run a new tour operation, but not to be an employee of an existing tour operation, which was what the two TAFE courses were simplistically about.
