Our Day Pack Kit Hire

Nature Trail offers a Day Pack Kit Hire intended to support the safety, welfare and enjoyment of a single Tour Guest on any of our Hiking Tours.

We offer and recommend our Day Pack Kit Hire service to each of our tour guests for three reasons:

  1. CONVENIENCE:  Often our tour guests on holidays to the Blue Mountains do not carry with them a day pack containing most of the vital/useful gear for a day hike in the wilds.  Our Day Pack Kit allows limited space for a tour guest’s own personal belongings (eg. wallet/purse, mobile phone, personal medication, sunglass case).
  2. WELFARE:  Our Day Pack Kit is not just an empty day pack, rather it contains an array of select personal supplies for a day hike intended to provide not just often-needed welfare comforts for a day hike (i.e. full drinking water bottle, rain jacket, trail snacks sun hat, sunscreen).
  3. EMERGENCY: Our Day Pack Kit also contains a hiking emergency kit (in case of separation from the hiking tour group and becoming lost, sick, injured, benighted scenarios, etc).  It is basic but can enable a better chance of solo survival overnight in the wild).

The Day Pack Kit Hire contents have been carefully researched by Nature Trails’ Tour Director from hiking tour experience and complemented over the years.   It forms an important part of Nature Trail’s Risk Management Policy.

The Day Pack Hire features:

  1. A quality 30 litre day pack
