Our Copyrighted Logos

This is Nature Trail’s current logo/motto branding since 8th June 2018.

It is one of a number of versions that we have created and we are working on others.

The component of the above logo showing the pair of two black cockatoos flying has been sourced, changed and adapted under permission of the following Creative Commons license terms:

This allows us to freely copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, even commercially and to remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

We duly attribute the original source to Frankzed from Melbourne, Australia (2-Nov-2011).

On our logo, we chose to reverse the direction of flying birds from the original and also made a number of modifications including new colours, adding our business name title, a tagline and our motto.

Other similar variations of this concept image we have designed as as follows:

We have since used this to embed on Nature Trail’ website masthead header, thus:

This last image (immediately above) is the digital version of a commissioned painted artwork initially requested by Steve Ridd first back in 2014 tor local Katoomba artist Fiona Lumsden, which Fiona duly accepted and painted to our specifications, while respected her artistic license.  Fiona subsequently assigned copyright to Steven Ridd for this unique  artwork as follows:

“All copyright rights on the illustration  “Glossy Cockatoos flying” assigned to Steven Ridd for his business “Nature Trail” to use or adapt the artwork exclusively. Transferred by the artist, Fiona Lumsden, on 29/10/2014.”
