Missing Gary Tweddle Book Part 10 – ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
The idea for writing this web-book evolved from writing an article for Nature Trail’s community blog ‘Mountains Drums’ under the category of ‘Deaths in the Mountains’.
The particularly bizarre circumstances and tragic outcome of this true story of the Blue Mountains captured the intrigue of many locals and the media at the time back in 2013. So there was much reported information in the various media, however over the following months and years no coroner’s inquest or report was forthcoming.
Aside from news updates and police sporadic findings revealed, there had been no investigative journalism into the underlying causations of the tragedy nor a comprehensive account of this particular story. The only coverage of any depth and study has been undertaken by Blue Mountains local Christopher Webber, a highly experienced search and rescue volunteers with the NSW State Emergency Service, author and historian. His recent documentary book ‘Mountains Mishaps’ which provides and accurate summarised account, to which we are grateful.
